This game is designed to help with learning numbers and colors. There are different versions of the game depending on the learner's ability. It can be played in groups of two to four.
Rainbow Count Card Game
This game is for two to four players. Mix the cards up. Give each player 5 cards. Put the rest of the deck facedown and flip the top card over for a pile.
The oldest player goes first. Look at the card that was flipped over. You must say the number and color on that card. Then you must put a card down that has either the same number or the same color as the card on the pile. Say the number and color as you place your card down on the pile. What if you do not have a card that is the same number or same color as the card on the pile? Then you must pick up a card from the deck until you do have one that you can put down on the pile. If you forget to say the number and color of the card, you must pick up one card from the deck. The game is over when one person puts down their last card.
For level 2, there is an additional card called a rainbow card. This card can be played when you don't have another card that you can put on the pile. If you have a rainbow card, you can put it down and pick a new color. Then you also get to put down a card from your hand that is the color you just said.
For level 3, there is another card called a reverse card. If you have a reverse card, you can put it down and the turns change direction.
